11+ Skipton & Ripon
11+ in North Yorkshire
Two of the three Grammar Schools in North Yorks are responsible for their own admissions policy, Ermysted's Grammar and Skipton Girls' High. The Local Authority, North Yorkshire Council manages the admission arrangements on behalf of Ripon Grammar School.
Children in Skipton and Ripon are automatically entered for the selection test; parents have to write or email to admissions if they do not wish their child to sit the test. In North Yorkshire children will have exams in different subjects depending on which school they go to.
